About

Golden Rule At Work is a coalition of faith-based organizations committed to enacting an inclusive Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA).

Religious institutions and people of faith have supported the Employment Non Discrimination Act since it was first introduced in 1994, and our support is now stronger than ever. Though we come from many faith traditions, we are united by religious values which call us to oppose unfair discrimination in the workplace.

Many of our sacred texts speak to the importance and sacred nature of work as an opportunity to be co-creators with God. They demand the protection of all workers as a matter of justice.

We believe that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people should be able to earn a living, provide for their families and contribute to our society without fear. The Employment Non Discrimination Act is a measured, common sense solution that will ensure workers are judged on their merits, not sexual orientation or gender identity. Fairness—not bias—should be the practice and the law.

As of today, signers of the Religious Organizations Letter to Congress in support of ENDA include:
